Not one. We have no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party scripts that set any. That is why you have never seen a cookie banner here — there is nothing to ask you to consent to.
We use local storage for one small convenience. It is not a cookie: it is never attached to network requests and never sent to us or anyone else. It simply sits in your browser.

Remembers whether you chose USD or CAD, so prices stay in your currency on your next visit. | Until you clear it |
Clearing it is harmless. The site simply falls back to its default currency. You can remove it through your browser’s settings for site data, or by using private browsing.
This is the part worth understanding, because it is where cookies actually enter the picture.
When you click a price and travel to Amazon, B&H Photo, Apple or Best Buy, (or other retailers) that retailer’s site will typically set cookies in your browser. Among other things, those cookies record that you arrived from us, which is how we earn a commission. These are first-party cookies belonging to the retailer, set on the retailer’s site, after you leave ours.
If you would rather not receive them, you can avoid clicking through and search for the product directly, clear cookies after visiting a retailer, or block third-party and tracking cookies in your browser settings. Declining them does not affect anything on Best Mac Prices. The site works identically either way.
Consent banners exist so sites can ask permission before storing non-essential information on your device. We store one currency preference and nothing else, and we run no tracking of any kind, so there is nothing to ask about. We would rather keep it that way than add a banner.
Our Privacy Policy covers what we record when you click a retailer link, who processes data on our behalf, and your rights under California and Canadian privacy law.
